The annual USA Diversity Visa Green Card Lottery makes 55,000 green card’s available every year to persons who meet two basic eligibility requirements. This years (2010) Green Card lottery program is called DV2012 (2012 is the year successful applicants may enter the US with their new green card). Participation in the Diversity Visa green card lottery program is open to all individuals worldwide who meet these two basic entry requirements. The Program makes green card’s available to the winners, authorizing the winners and their families to live, study and work in the United States of America as permanent residents.

How do I apply for a Green Card in the DV Lottery ?
Applications for the green card lottery are accepted online only. In the past, paper applications with signatures were accepted. In 2003, this process was changed by the United States Government and Diversity Visa Lottery applicants may only apply for the DV Lottery online.
